Latin name: Peony Bartzella (ITOH )

Bartzella is a celebrated intersectional (Itoh) peony hybrid with huge lemon-yellow, semi-double to fully double blooms (about 6-8 in / 15-20 cm). Softly ruffled petals show subtle pinkish-red flares at the base, with a vivid cluster of red stamens for striking depth.

Sturdy, woody stems (around 75-80 cm) hold the heavy flowers upright without staking. Flowering is typically in June, with a long display and a fresh, citrusy fragrance; suitable for cutting and ideal for sunny borders.
